Mercedes CLS 2011 Spy shot
The Mercedes CLS was the first - and some would say still the best - interpretation of a four door swoopy-coupe. It set the benchmark for cars to follow and made the genre hugely desirable. Audi keep on dragging versions of their e-Tron out at any given opportunity, usually focusing on a different take on some form or other of electric and/or hybrid propulsion. Our favourite so far has been the Audi A1 e-Tron, which may seem odd to those of you who know of our penchant for the fast and exotic. But hybrid cars are best suited to urban environments – even more so electric cars – and the Audi A1 e-Tron’s combination of electric motors and a range-extending Wankel engine really floated our urban boat.
A GANG that deliberately crashed a 12 tonne bus with 26 passengers on board as part of a huge "crash-for-cash" scam, has been described as a "a professionally-planned, highly-organised group" by police. Officers were speaking after four people were found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court of playing a part in a fraud conspiracy worth almost £500,000. Seven other people had already pleaded guilty.
